"Pulitzer Prize 1953" at top of front jacket flap, but no mention of Nobel Prize, awarded in 1954. Author photo on rear panel; appears to be the olive (?) variant, but it is indeterminate. Light blue embossed cloth, with no book club slug at rear bottom corner. Light chipping and tearing at edges of jacket. with minor edge loss. A few faint moisture stain on front board. Previous owner's name at top corner of front free endpaper and last name at bottom and fore edges.
